What does your renovation project management service include?
It can include scoping, design coordination, trade and supplier sequencing, material planning, progress communication, change control, final checks and handover for the work we are appointed to deliver.
Can you coordinate architects, structural engineers and Building Control?
Where required, we can help coordinate the information and project interfaces. The relevant architect, engineer, Building Control body or specialist remains responsible for their own professional work and decisions. Appointments, fees and responsibilities are confirmed for the project.
Will you obtain planning permission for me?
We can discuss and, where agreed, coordinate an application through an appropriate designer or planning professional. Planning decisions are made by the local authority, so approval cannot be guaranteed.
Can you guarantee the completion date?
We provide and manage a realistic programme for the agreed work, but dates can be affected by approvals, client decisions, material availability, weather and unforeseen property conditions. If something changes, we explain the effect and update the plan.
How are changes and additional work managed?
We document proposed variations and explain the likely cost and programme effect before proceeding wherever practicable. You remain in control of non-urgent changes to the agreed scope.
Can you help if I already have drawings or contractors appointed?
Yes, subject to a review of the information, appointments and project stage. We agree responsibility boundaries so there is no confusion between our work and existing designers, contractors or suppliers.
Can you manage work in an occupied home or rental property?
Often, yes. Access, working areas, services, protection and any required phasing should be discussed during the survey. We explain what is practical for the proposed work.
How much does project management cost?
Cost depends on scale, duration, complexity and the level of management required. After the initial discussion and property survey, we define the proposed scope and provide a clear written quotation.
